PCAOB Applauds Appointment of Board Member Anthony C. Thompson for a Second Term
Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) Chair Erica Y. Williams applauded the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC) appointment of PCAOB Board Member Anthony C. Thompson to a second term ending October 24, 2027. The SEC announced Thompson’s reappointment today.
“Tony’s leadership and executive experience are tremendous assets for the PCAOB and the investors we serve. I applaud his appointment to a second term and look forward to continuing to work together to carry out our mission to protect investors,” said Chair Williams.
“I am honored by the Commission’s confidence in my service at the PCAOB,” said Board Member Thompson. “I look forward to continuing my work with my fellow Board Members and the PCAOB’s dedicated staff on behalf of investors
and our capital markets.”
